JESUS CHRIST

Jesus Christ is the one and only unique, beloved Son of God, Second person of the Trinity. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died upon a cross and on the third day rose alive from the dead to pay the penalty for the sins of all men. He later ascended into heaven with all power and authority to forever be at the right hand of His Father. He is coming again soon to rapture (snatch away; catch up in the air) His church (His Bride-those who love Jesus Christ more than anything else in this world). He will them complete His ultimate plan for all mankind--rewarding and comforting those who have chosen by faith to submit their lives to Him, and judging those who have rejected His love.

Jesus is also our Wonderful counselor, who alone has the power and understanding to perfectly heal broken hearts and lives, completely restore peace and sanity to troubled minds, and lovingly encourage and birth hope into lives. We seek to know Him, love Him more and serve Him better.

SALVATION

Salvation is not earned or deserved, but being by the grace of God, it is His free gift, found only in and obtained through the Biblical person of Jesus Christ. Man is a sinner by nature and by choice, and cannot save himself. God is perfectly just and therefore must punish sin, but is also perfectly compassionate and full of mercy and doesn't want to punish sinners-His precious creation. This problem was solved when He sent His one and only Son to come to the earth as a God-man, who died on the cross to pay the penalty for our sins and who rose again alive from the grave to purchase a place for us in heaven. Anyone willing to trust in Jesus Christ alone, by faith, for eternal life and rest completely upon His finished work on the cross can receive God's gift of salvation.

THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired, infallible, absolutely true, living and active words of God. It is God's-the Omnipresent, Omniscient, and Omnipotent eternal, sovereign One-Word, supernaturally revealed to His chosen instruments, revealing His very thoughts, feelings and plans. It is relevant and applicable to every person alive today, regardless of age, social status, gender, race or nationality. We place great emphasis upon teaching it in public, studying it in private and using it as the only authoritative guide for our daily lives. The Bible is our only source for learning about the nature and character of God and is man's only hope of and means for being daily conformed into the image of His creator.

HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity, sharing all the divine, holy attributes of God. As God, He is both with and in all believers, empowering and instructing them in righteousness. Without His indwelling presence and power no one can ever hope to know God, die to self-efforts and surrender their personal rights, be conformed into His image, hear His voice, be fruitful, or love a lost and dying world. He is our great Comforter, Counselor, and Intercessor. We rely upon God's Holy Spirit to direct, guide and instruct us in all areas of life so we might fulfill the holy purposes of our Creator rather than our own.

Acts 5:3-4; Micah 3:8; Matthew 28:19; John 14:16-26; Romans 8:26-27

WORSHIP

God is worthy of all praise, reverence and adoration. We were created to join with all creation in worshiping our Maker. We worship Him with every part of lives-at home, at work and at play. True worship can occur only as hearts are totally and personally submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

I Chronicles 16:23-36; John 4:24; Romans 12:1-2

CHRISTIAN GROWTH

Maturity in Christ is a life-long process and occurs as believers diligently abide in the study of His Word, applying it to every area of life, remain faithful to personal and corporate prayer and not forsake fellowship with other true believers. As we trust Him, God has promised His Spirit will complete the work of sanctification, which He began in our hearts.

Philippians 1:6; 4:13; Colossians 3:12-17; Ephesians 4:17-32; I John 1:7; I Thessalonians 5:17

LOVE

Love is the greatest Christ-like virtue and demonstration of the reality of Jesus Christ living in us. No matter how much money we give, how much we sacrifice or suffer for God, without God's agape (self-sacrificial) love in us and being expressed through us in word and deeds, we have no right to call ourselves Christians-followers of Christ. If we love God, we will love His Son. When we love His Son, we love His people. This kind of love demonstrated in our lives is proof to the world that Jesus is real and alive.

John 14:23-24; I John 4:7-17; I John 3:14-18; I Corinthians 13:1-13
