THE GIFT THAT KEEP ON GIVING

I had no gift to bring...
So HE gave me a song to sing!

The FATHER sent HIS ONLY SON into the world,
HIS wonderful PLAN OF SALVATION unfurled.
What right did I have to accept HIS gift?
Would accepting HIS PEACE really give my spirits a lift?

I was ready to give up;
My life was such a loss.
I was considering the cost;
What if I just didn't show up?
What if I gave up my life?

Then someone told me
There was already ONE WHO gave HIS LIFE.
Don't give up - let HIM be your BOSS.
HE cares for you - He died on the CROSS.
It matters to HIM what you do.
It matters to HIM if you're loved.
It matters to HIM - He has a PLAN!
HE sent to this earth HIS SON as a man
To give up HIS LIFE to set us free,
To fill up our lives abundantly!

HE gives LOVE, PEACE and JOY and all that you'll need.
It was for our sins on the CROSS HE did bleed.
HIS BLOOD lives forever.
You may think you are clever but
Only HIS BLOOD can remove the stains
And take away all of your earthly pains.
HE gave up HIS LIFE - What more can we give?
How can we take and not HIS life live?

For us to live and give again and again,
Is what HE told me as my NEW LIFE began.
" Be not weary in all that you do
For HE is the ONE WHO is caring for you."
Lay upon HIM all the burdens of LIFE.
Let not your heart be filled with strife,
But give HIM your all so you can be
HIS witness to a dying world.
Be filled with HIS JOY
Share with the world all HE has given to you.
Just BELIEVE...
That HE is...
That HE was...
That HE soon will be...
Coming back to earth...
Not for HIS birth as a babe in a manger,
But to rule and to reign.
And not as a STRANGER
But as KING of kings
As LORD of lords,
HE will bring with HIM HIS many rewards.
For all who have served HIM
allowed HIM to live, HIS LIFE through them
allowing HIM to give through them the gift that keeps on giving.

As we go on living
The LIFE HE created and wrote in HIS BOOk;
As we go through this life with HIS outlook;
As we accept ony HIS mind;
As we reach out to strangers to be only kind;
As we give to each other the gift of our love,
HE and HIS FATHER smile down from above.

As we give HIM our song
HE fills us with HIS JOY.
HE gives us HIS LOVE to pass along
So the world can know they too can belong,
To this wonderful family HE has created;
That somehow we can all be related
Through the BLOOD of HIS dear SON -
That sacrificial LAMB.

So the GIFT that keeps on giving
Is what you do while you are living.
Are you saving or losing your life?
Is your heart filled with stife?
Does HE reign inside?
Do HE and the FATHER with you abide?
Do you live every day as though you are dead...
Is HE you life...
Is HE really your head?
Have you given to HIM all your cares and your woes?
Has HE not blessed you with GREAT VICTORY over foes?
Does HE not deserve for HIS birthday
Our lives and our love,
And the song that we sing as our gift to the KING?
He left splendor and glory to come from above,
To give up HIS life.
To show us HIS LOVE.
Upon HIS NAME we can call,
As daily we live and keep on giving HIS GIFT that helps one live
NEW LIFE in JESUS.
A life filled with HOPE;
PEACE that passes all understanding;
JOY that doesn't depend on circumstances or what others take or give;
LIFE that helps to cope - better yet, to live!

Are we giving the gift that keeps on giving?
Or are we giving strife?
Are we giving to HIM all of our life?

HE wants to fill us with HIS JOY and HIS LOVE.
HE wants to bring us WISDOM from above.
HE wants to rule and reign in our hearts...and our heads.
HE wants to bring us our daily bread.
HE wants us to live in HIM.
HE wants the song that we sing
AS our gift for HIS BIRTHDAY -
To celebrate our acceptace of our soon-coming KING!
