Pray – for abused, abandoned and desperate women and children in your families, among friends and in your communities. Ask God to intervene in their lives and bring them to safety and wholeness by the power of His love in Christ.

Open – your home on an emergency basis to women fleeing life-threatening situations with no safe alternatives. Work closely with your pastor or other DV ministry leaders, as well as other Domestic Violence professionals in your community, to ensure everyone’s safety.
Start – a confidential prayer group for victims of domestic violence in your church or home. Let abused women personally experience the power of God’s love through intercessory prayer and behold His miraculous intervention in their most desperate situations.
Serve – hurting women by giving of your time, talents, and spiritual gifts. Volunteer to serve at one of your local Christian domestic violence ministries or shelters.
Mentor – a victim of domestic violence. Friendship is a powerful force of healing in our lives. Let a woman struggling with an abusive relationship know you will always be there for her no matter what happens. Let God’s love speak to her through your faithful acts of love and friendship.
Encourage – a woman who knows the pain of domestic violence to share her story when it is safe to do so. No one can ever take away a person’s transformational experience with Jesus Christ. Such stories are powerful tools for bringing faith, hope and strength to hurting women. Personal testimonies tell the world God still cares and is more than able to heal and restore broken lives.
