1. Did you know God's love is not based on your performance?
It never has been and it never will. God's love is unconditional. This is an amazing concept, but absolutely true. You could gain 100 pounds, forget your birth control pills and get pregnant. You could lose all your hair, never take out the trash or wash the car again, forget to balance the check book, burn dinner every night for the rest of your life, make long distance calls, leave the house without permission, or spend money without asking. You could buy chocolate ice cream instead of strawberry, wreck the car, go back to school, get a job, have different opinions, say "no" to intimacy, leave your abuser, even file for divorce. But God would not stop loving you for even a single moment.
"I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore, I have drawn you with loving kindness." Jeremiah 31:3
"For I know the plans I have for you', declares the LORD, 'plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, that no one should boast." Ephesians 2:8
"There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out all fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in loved. We love Him, because He first loved us." I John 4:18-19

2. Did you know you do not have to beg God to like you?
You don’t have to plead with God to love you, accept you, be kind to you, tell you you're beautiful, help you, be gentle with you, hold you, stay with you, provide for you, protect you, or honor your trust?
"The LORD, the Lord God, compassionate, and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in loving kindness and mercy..." Exodus 34:6-7
"There are sixty queens and eighty concubines, and maidens without number, but you, my dove, my perfect one are unique." Song of Solomon 6:9
"For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the afflicted ones
with salvation." Psalms 149:4
"There is none like the God of Israel who rides the heavens to your help, and through the skies in His majesty. The eternal God is a dwelling place and underneath are the everlasting arms." Deuteronomy 34:26-27
"He who believes in Him (Jesus) will never be disappointed." 1 Peter 2:6
"Fear not, for you will not be put to shame; neither feel humiliated, for you will not be disgraced; but you will forget the shame of your youth, and the reproach of your widowhood you will remember no more. For your husband is your Maker, whose name is the LORD of hosts; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, who is called the God of all the earth. For the Lord has called you, like a wife forsaken and grieved in spirit, even like a wife of one's youth when she is rejected." Isaiah 54:4-6

3. Did you know God's love and affections are given to you out of the nature of His very being?
God is love! Perfect love is one of His unchangeable attributes. He can't give you anything else. He doesn't have to try to love you, or work at loving you or learn how to love you. He isn't pretending to love or putting on some kind of grandiose performance just to trick you into believing His words. There are no hidden agendas with God. He is totally honest with you. What you see is what you get, now and forever!
Your abuser may have used phony lines to control you, attempting to trap you and force you to remain in his tyrannical grip. His rules and restrictions were brutally enforced without remedy or reason. You became his "property", subject to his whims or whacks. You never knew what to expect.
But God’s offer of love is not designed to trap you into some sort of forced servitude, as some falsely believe. His love is designed to free you from every tyrant and give you peace. He could never abuse your trust. It’s simply not possible.
"I will hear what God the Lord will say; for He will speak peace to His people,
to His godly ones" Psalms 85:8
"For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways", declares the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts." Isaiah 55:8-9
"These things I have spoken to you that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world." John 16:33
"If therefore the Son shall make you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36

4. Did you know that God created you?
The theory of evolution is a lie from hell. God made you then purchased you with the blood of His own Son, Jesus Christ. You are now doubly His. In spite of His ownership, God does not bully you or beat you into submission to prove He's stronger and "in control". He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. He knows who He is and is absolutely secure in His identity.
Instead, He draws you to Himself with gentle cords of loving kindness. He will never bind you with ropes of bondage. He lavishes upon you tender mercies and affections, not brutality and humiliation. Any restraints or limits He places in your life are to protect you from predators, not strip you of human dignity.
"For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-all things have been created by Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16
"For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works," Ephesians 2:10
"And this is His commandment that we believe in the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, just as He commanded." I John 3:23
"His commandments are not burdensome…" I John 5:3
"How blessed is everyone who fears the LORD, who walks in His ways. When you shall eat of the fruit of your hands, you will be happy and it will be well with you."
Psalms 128:1-2

5. Did you know that there is a sinister plot to keep you from intimacy with God?
Satan, the Father of all lies, the Hater of your soul, the Deceiver of your mind, wants to keep you in fear of intimacy with God? He doesn't want you to fall in love with Jesus. He wants to keep you distrustful of His words and ignorant of His promises. His aim is to hurt God the only way he can--by keeping YOU, the "apple of God's eye" from close fellowship and communion with your Creator. Satan’s every tactic and scheme is to keep you as far away as he can from enjoying the pleasures found in a most "sacred and precious romance" with Jesus.
But Satan is not all-powerful. God is. And Satan was utterly defeated 2,000 years ago on a hill in Jerusalem. Jesus Christ hung on a cross that day to pay the penalty for the sins of the world. He did this all for love. Because of His self- sacrificial actions, we can have unrestricted access to God our Father and enjoy the delights of unbroken communion with the true Lover of our souls.
The enemy comes to rob, steal and kill; I came that they may have life and

"When He (Jesus) had disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public display of them, having triumphed over them through Him." Colossians 2:15
"For He delivered us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins." Colossians 1:13
"I am my beloved's and His desire is for me." Song of Solomon 7:10

TRUSTWORTHY
UNCONDITIONAL
UNFALING
UNPERVERTED
WONDERFUL
