“Thy Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” Psalms 119:105

What We Believe

We believe the primal cause of domestic violence is SIN resident within every human heart. The destructive behaviors of such violence are not primarily caused by drugs, alcohol, disease, stress, poor role models, society or the environment. While not denying that these conditions certainly can and do influence human behaviors, they are not, in and of themselves, solely to blame. Domestic violence occurs because a human heart demands the right to self-rule, self-fulfillment and unhindered pursuits of personal pleasure and passions, regardless of the consequences to themselves or the precious individuals around them.

We believe the only hope human beings have of ending such painful and destructive behaviors is the power of the Holy Spirit of God, residing within a yielded, willing human heart. Only when individuals relinquish all “so called” personal rights to their loving Creator and submit their heart, mind, emotions, strength, will, lives, passions, and past to the Lord Jesus Christ, can they ever find real inner peace and lasting healing for themselves, their families, and their world. Jesus Christ is our peace and apart from a personal, ongoing, intimate relationship with Him, real peace is not possible.

As Christians, submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, it is our conviction that meeting the physical needs of victims of domestic violence is not enough. And while more education, research and money, along with the dedicated efforts of sincere individuals, certainly assists these efforts, no lasting end to domestic violence is possible until the human heart is reborn by the power and love of God’s one and only Son, Jesus Christ. Jesus has the power to heal broken hearts and restore hope and peace to troubled minds. Therefore this ministry will focus on both the physical and spiritual needs of abused women, using the Bible as our foundation.
