Hosea 2:23 "And I will have compassion on her who had not received compassion," says the Lord.

The destructive behaviors of domestic violence are not primarily caused by drugs, alcohol, disease, stress, poor role models, society or the environment. While not denying these conditions certainly can and do influence human behaviors, they are not, in and of themselves, solely to blame. Domestic violence occurs because the human heart is self-centered, full of pride and in rebellion against God. The prime cause of domestic violence is sin resident within every human heart.

God’s word says the only way human beings will be able to stop such painful and destructive behaviors is by surrendering their heart, mind, emotions, strength, will, past, pain and their passions to the rule of Lord Jesus Christ. Only by relinquishing all “so called” personal rights to our loving Creator will we ever find real inner peace and lasting healing for ourselves, our families, our communities, and our world. Jesus Christ is our peace. Apart from a personal, dynamic, intimate relationship with Jesus real peace is not possible.

As Christians submitted to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, it is our conviction that meeting the physical needs of victims of domestic violence is not enough. And while more education, research and money, along with the dedicated efforts of sincere individuals, certainly assists these efforts no lasting end to domestic violence is possible until the human heart is supernaturally reborn by the power of God’s love as revealed in His one and only son. Jesus Christ has the power to heal broken hearts and restore hope and peace to troubled minds. Therefore this ministry will focus on both the physical and spiritual needs of abused women, using the Christian bible as our final authority in all matters.
